Summer Trip
Sixth Sense and Amanoi
It's good to get away from the office once in a while, and this year, I treat myself a good time at two greatest resorts in Vietnam: Sixth Sense Ninh Van Bay and Amanoi Ninh Thuan.
Sixth Sense Ninh Van Bay is an isolated resort that requires speedboat to reach there. The place is very nice, with lots of trees, rock formations and a nice beach. The food was not what I like though, but a lot of activities, both under the water and on the island do compensate for it.
Amanoi Ninh Thuan is a totally different experience and also the most exotic resort I've been to. Located in a national conservation area and within military zone, the resort was very hard to find and I was lost a couple of times trying to locate it. There was no signboard and Google Maps pointed me to the wrong location. It wasn't a good experience at first though.
Those first impressions are gone when I am in. The sceneries and purely tranquil atmosphere put everything away. The whole resort seems to blend into the mountain, with lots of trees, animals and although there are about 40 villas and other facilities there, you can't even see any concretes when looking from above. The place is just terrific.
Amanoi is "Aman", the Sanskrit-derived word for 'peace' , and also the brand of the resort chain, and "noi" meaning 'place' in Vietnamese.
