Summer Trip
Sixth Sense and Amanoi
It’s always good to step away from the office once in a while. This year, I treated myself to some time at two of Vietnam’s most remarkable resorts: Six Senses Ninh Van Bay and Amanoi Ninh Thuận.
Six Senses Ninh Van Bay is a truly secluded escape, you can only reach it by speedboat. The resort is surrounded by lush trees, striking rock formations, and a beautiful stretch of beach that feels untouched. While the food wasn’t exactly to my taste, the variety of activities made up for it. From exploring underwater to discovering trails on the island, there was always something exciting to do.

Amanoi Ninh Thuận was a completely different experience, without a doubt the most exotic resort I’ve ever visited.
Getting there was an adventure in itself. Tucked deep inside a national conservation area and within a military zone, the resort was hard to find. I got lost more than once, with no signboards to guide me, and even Google Maps led me astray. To be honest, the first impressions weren’t great.
But all of that disappeared the moment I arrived. The scenery and the tranquility instantly swept everything else away. The entire resort seems to dissolve into the mountain landscape, surrounded by trees and wildlife. Even though there are around 40 villas and various facilities, from above you barely see a trace of concrete. It feels natural, untouched, and perfectly in harmony with its surroundings.
The name itself says it all: Amanoi—from Aman, the Sanskrit-derived word for “peace” and also the name of the resort chain, combined with nơi, meaning “place” in Vietnamese. Truly, it is a place of peace.
